4Warn Weather – If you think it feels like summer, you’re right. Friday afternoon temperatures touched 80 degrees or greater in a few communities, including Adrian, Ypsilanti, and Monroe. That is more than 15 degrees above normal.
The warm, breezy, and dry weather elevated the fire risk. That risk prompted a red flag warning for Sanilac County in Southeast Michigan until 8 p.m. All of Northern Michigan was under a red flag warning, which was set to expire at 8 p.m.
People are discouraged from parking on the grass, burning or setting bonfires due to current conditions. Tossing cigarettes on the ground and grilling could also ignite fires.
Student-athletes and spectators of the Local 4 Game of the Week, which features Macomb Dakota and Utica Eisenhower, will enjoy comfortable weather. Temperatures will be in the 70s for much of the evening.
On Friday night, clouds will increase with skies becoming mostly cloudy. Lows will be in the lower 50s in and around Adrian, Monroe, Canton, Taylor, Detroit, Royal Oak, and Center Line.
Lows will be in the mid to upper 40s in the western and northern communities of Southeast Michigan, including Ann Arbor, Brighton, Flint, Imlay City, Sandusky, Capac, and Armada.
This weekend will be cooler with normal temperatures. It will also be rainy at times.
Saturday
A few sprinkles will be possible Saturday afternoon with partly cloudy skies, but the chance of rain showers will be better in the evening. Temperatures will range from around 60 degrees in the Thumb to around 65 degrees near Detroit. Winds will be out of the north-northeast at 5 to 10 mph.
Saturday night will be mostly cloudy with rain showers. Lows will be in the mid-40s to 50 degrees.
Sunday
Showers will be possible throughout Sunday. Highs will be in the upper 50s to lower 60s, and lows will be around 40 degrees.
Monday
