Dreary and soggy start to the workweek in Metro Detroit

Stuck in a cooler than average stretch of days

4Warn Weather – A chill is in the air and it isn’t going anywhere. We are waking up to scattered lake effect rain showers and a northerly breeze. This is the best week to take those fall family photos outside because a looming hard freeze will likely cause many leaves to fall by the end of the week.

Don’t leave without the umbrella today! Below average temperatures continue, along with the chance for isolated to scattered rain showers through the day. These rain chances are off and on, so not a complete washout. Highs will be in the low 50s.

Sunset is at 6:52 p.m.

Rain chances become more focused across the Thumb tonight and tomorrow. Otherwise, most places across the Metro will be dry. We do turn a bit breezy on Tuesday as well. Cool weather persists into mid-week with frost/freeze potential, especially Wednesday night into Thursday with forecasted lows on either side of 30. Seasonal sixties will likely not return until Friday. Temperatures warm into the mid to upper 60s this weekend as high pressure brings dry conditions. This will be a great weekend to take in outdoor fall activities like the apple orchard or corn maze!
