Near record warmth for Metro Detroit with plenty of sunshine to start the week

High temperatures running near 20° above average on Monday, but colder changes arrive by the end of the week

4Warn Weather – After a beautiful weekend with plenty of sunshine throughout the day on Sunday and warmer temperatures, we will keep the trend of above average temperatures into the forecast looking ahead into the next few days.

The dry weather sticks around for the first few days of next week, expect plenty of sunshine on Monday with a little more cloud cover rolling in by Tuesday, but still mostly sunny to partly cloudy skies. High temperature is heading for the lower 80s on Monday, then dropping into the lower 70s by Tuesday.

On Monday, we’re forecasting a high temperature of 80°, the record high for Metro Detroit is 81°, so we will come close to the record high, but as of right now, we are not forecasting to break the record high for today.

MONDAY: Mostly sunny skies. Near record warmth across the region. High: 80. Winds: Southwest 5-10 MPH.

MONDAY NIGHT: Mainly clear skies. Low: 54. Winds: Southwest 3-6 MPH

TUESDAY: Mostly sunny skies. High: 77. Winds: South 5-10 MPH.

TUESDAY NIGHT: Partly cloudy skies. Low: 56. Southwest 5-15 MPH with gusts as high as 20 MPH.

WEDNESDAY: Partly cloudy skies, cooler temperatures begin to move in. High: 69. Winds: West 5-15 MPH with gusts as high as 25 MPH.

We will bring a little more cloud cover into the forecast, looking ahead into the middle of the week as our cold front rolls through the region. This will bring a drop in temperatures for the middle of the week, but much more fall like temperatures moving in by the end of the week for Thursday and Friday

High temperature is dropping back into the upper 50s by Thursday, warming back into the 60s by the time we get to the end of the week.

We do keep the chance of a slight rain shower into the forecast, looking ahead into the upcoming weekend, but for most everybody as of right now looks like we were being dry. High temperatures remaining into the 60s looking ahead to both Saturday and Sunday.
