Falling back to fall-like temperatures in Metro Detroit

Gusty winds arrive Wednesday afternoon

4Warn Weather – An upper level disturbance brought a few light showers overnight, so you might wake up to damp sidewalks and even more fallen leaves. Otherwise, with the cloud cover and southerly winds, it’s mild morning with temperatures on either side of 60.

Cooler air arrives this afternoon in the wake of a dry cold front. We will top out in the upper 60s early, then temperatures slide through the afternoon and evening. Winds will be picking up with gusts close to 30 mph this afternoon. It will be noticeably colder tonight with lows tumbling into the 30s.

Sunset is at 6:38 p.m.

It will feel like weather whiplash when you step outside tomorrow morning. At least a 20 degree temperatures change from this morning to tomorrow morning. Otherwise, sunny and and seasonal on Thursday through the weekend with highs in the mid-upper 50s. Our next rain chance arrives on Friday morning and afternoon. We expect to see scattered to numerous rain showers during that time, but drying out in time for Friday Night Football. It will be seasonal and sunny for the weekend. Warmer weather looks to return next week with 70s Tuesday and Wednesday.
