Back to reality: Sunny and seasonal Thursday in Metro Detroit

Scattered showers arrive Friday

4Warn Weather – It will feel like a weather whiplash when you step outside this morning. We are waking up anywhere from 20-30 degrees cooler than yesterday morning. Otherwise, high pressure has cleared our skies, so don’t forget your sunglasses along with your coat this morning.

Sweater weather has returned! Sunny and seasonal as our highs struggle to hit 60 this afternoon. Winds will be much calmer than yesterday. Partly cloudy tonight with lows around 40.

Sunset is at 6:37 p.m.

It’s looking likely that we will see scattered to numerous rain showers Friday morning and afternoon. Cooler conditions roll into the weekend. Expect sunshine and seasonal high temperatures mainly in the mid to upper 50s. Warmer weather makes a comeback next week with 70s Tuesday and Wednesday. Long-range data hints that we could be close to 70 on Halloween with a chance for rain.
