Sunshine, cooler & breezy across Metro Detroit through the end of the week

Drier weather sticks around for the start of the weekend before rain chances move into the region by Sunday

4Warn Weather – After rain showers and breezy winds to end our Thursday, we are going to keep the breezy winds into the forecast looking ahead throughout our Friday. Expect a decrease in cloud covers. We work throughout the day so we will see some sunshine by Friday afternoon. High temperature is much colder, only in the low 50s this afternoon, with wind gusting as high as 25 to 30 miles an hour much of the day today.

FRIDAY: Decreasing clouds; more sunshine the further we go through the day. Breezy and colder. High: 53. Winds: Northwest 10-15 MPH with gusts as high as 25 MPH.

FRIDAY NIGHT: Mainly clear skies. Colder temperatures. Low: 36. Winds: Light and Variable.

SATURDAY: Mostly sunny skies. Seasonable temperatures. High: 57. Winds: Light and Variable.

SATURDAY NIGHT: Partly cloudy skies. Low: 41. Winds: Light Southeast.

SUNDAY (DAYLIGHT SAVING TIME ENDS): Mostly cloudy skies, a chance of rain showers in the afternoon and evening. High: 58.

Expect mainly clear skies overnight tonight, as high-pressure builds overhead that will allow temperature to drop pretty quickly. Overnight loads dropping into the mid 30s early on Saturday morning.

Looking ahead into the start of the weekend, high-pressure will still control the forecast, so expect plenty of sunshine. Temperatures will remain reasonable throughout the day, back into the 50s by Saturday afternoon.

Expect the clouds to increase Saturday night into early on Sunday morning, with rain showers developing as we had throughout the second half of our Sunday. High temperature is remaining seasonable into the 50s by Sunday afternoon.

We keep the rain showers into the forecast, looking ahead into the start of next week, but temperatures will be getting warmer looking ahead into the start of next week as well. High temperatures heading into the 60s on Monday, will warm into the 70s for election day on Tuesday before another cold front swing through the region.

That cold front will drop temperatures back into the 50s and 60s looking heading into the middle of next week, and we bring an extra sunshine and clouds into the forecast looking ahead into the middle of next week as well.
