Coolest day of the week in Metro Detroit with seasonal stretch ahead

Rain chances return midweek

4Warn Weather – High pressure will move across Lower Michigan today bringing sunshine and shifting winds from the north toward the east as they die down a bit. However, we are waking up to a northerly breeze to start which makes the feels-like temperatures on either side of freezing.

This is a hat and gloves kind of morning, but don’t forget your sunglasses too! Morning clouds give way to afternoon sunshine which continues into Wednesday morning. Lows tonight will fall to around freezing under mainly clear skies.

Sunset is at 5:14 p.m.

A low pressure system tracks into the Great Lakes region Wednesday night and Thursday bringing periods of showers starting late Wednesday evening and possibly through Thursday afternoon. Drier for Friday and Saturday with highs in the mid-50s. A few degrees warmer on Sunday with rain arriving late, but should impact tailgating outside of Ford Field for the Lions game.
