Patchy fog & sunshine to start the week before rain showers & breezy conditions return to Metro Detroit

Rain showers continue with below average temperatures into the end of the work week

4Warn Weather – After plenty of cloud cover and a few rain showers to end the weekend on Sunday, we will see some sunshine to start the week before an active weather pattern moves into the region for the rest of the week.

We will break up the cloud cover and bring some sunshine into the forecast to start the week on Monday, before we have multiple episodes of rain showers, moving into the forecast, looking ahead into the majority of next week. Partly cloudy skies can be expected for Monday, after some morning dense fog, high temperatures heading into the 50s once again by late Monday afternoon.

We will increase the cloud cover Monday evening, with rain showers developing overnight Monday night and into Tuesday Morning, overnight lows dropping into the middle 40s.

As the strong low pressure system pulls off to the east, we will keep the rain chances into the forecast Tuesday through the end of the week on Friday. Rain will move into the region late Monday night after midnight and into Tuesday. We will keep the chance of rain showers into the forecast on Wednesday, before we expect rain showers to increase in intensity late Wednesday and into Thursday as this low pressure system moves right into the Great Lakes region.

But by the time we get to Thursday and Friday, as that low pressure center pulls off to the east, we are going to bring in some colder air from Canada down into the Great Lakes in Ohio Valley. This is going to drop high temperatures below average, and also start to gust up the winds looking ahead into the end of next work week as well. Expect winds upwards of 25 to 35 miles an hour possible, with some gust possible above 40 miles an hour.

As this low pressure system moves off to the East, we will keep a slight chance of a rain showers into the forecast through the start of next weekend. High temperatures remaining below average, into the 40s by the start of next weekend. The cloud cover sticks around for the end of the weekend as well.
