It has been a while since we have had a decent amount of sunshine in Metro Detroit.
Metro Airport last reported a day with clear skies on Nov. 8. The region last had a day of partly cloudy skies on Wednesday. Apart from the forecast of partly cloudy skies for Monday, Southeast Michigan will have a stretch of cloudy, rainy and windy weather.
Sunday night, it will be mostly cloudy with diminishing clouds. A few showers will be possible. Lows will be in the mid 30s in the Thumb and lower 40s in Detroit.
Monday
Monday might be the best day of the workweek for yardwork and other outdoor activities. Skies will be partly cloudy, and temperatures will be in the mid to upper 50s. The wind will be light and variable in direction.
Southeast Michigan will have a slight chance of rain Monday night. Otherwise, it will be mostly cloudy. Lows will range from 40 degrees to the mid 40s.
Tuesday
The chance of rain showers will increase Tuesday morning, which will mean a wet commute for some people. Highs will be in the upper 50s to 60 degrees. Winds will be out of the southeast at 10 to 20 mph. Gusts will be as high as 25 mph.
Rain showers will be possible Tuesday night as temperatures fall to the lower to mid 40s.
Wednesday
Temperatures will begin to tumble midweek. Wednesday’s highs will be in the lower 50s. Highs will be in the lower to mid 40s for the rest of the week, which is near normal. Lows will be in the lower to mid 30s.
Thursday through Saturday
The rain chances will continue. Thursday will be windy and rainy, but we could also observe some wet snow mixing in. More rain will be likely on Friday. A few showers will be left over for Saturday.
