Here’s when to expect rain back in Metro Detroit

Rain showers move in for the start of next week

Rain showers move back into the region looking ahead into the start of next week (WDIV)

4Warn Weather – After a wet end of the week, we will start to dry things out, looking ahead into the weekend, but the cloud cover looks to stick around as we had through throughout the weekend as well.

We’re going to watch an upper level disturbance, move off to the east as we work throughout the start of the weekend, that is going to keep enough moisture around that the cloud cover won’t go anywhere or throughout our Saturday, but I am going to hold onto an isolated shower in some places, but I do think most places will stay dry. High temperature is heading for the 40s by Saturday afternoon.

Overnight tonight, the cloud cover looks to stick around as we had throughout the overnight. Temperatures will be on the cold side of things once again, dropping into the load of mid 30s by early on Sunday morning.

We will start to warm things up, just a little bit through the end of the weekend and in the start of next week, expect the cloud covered to stick around on Sunday. Mostly cloudy skies can be expected, high temperatures heading for the upper 40s by Sunday afternoon.

Our next frontal boundary rolls into the region by the time we get to early next week on Monday, this will bring a chance of rain showers throughout the day Monday. High temperatures warming into the low 50s by Monday afternoon.

We will keep a chance of rain showers into the forecast on Tuesday as that system moves off to the east. That will also usher in some cooler temperatures. High temperatures head into the lower 40s by Tuesday afternoon.

Looking ahead into the holiday at the end of the week, dry weather sticks around for one of the busiest travel days heading into the holiday on Wednesday. Partly cloudy skies can be expected high temperatures heading for the low 40s by Wednesday afternoon.

The weather pattern looks to get active through Thanksgiving on Thursday and into the end of the week on Friday. As an area of low pressure tracks right through the region, we are expecting a chance of rain and snow showers for Thanksgiving on Thursday, giving way to a chance of snow showers by the time we get to the end of the week on Friday. High temperatures heading for right around 40 by Thursday afternoon, we’ll drop into the 30s for daytime highs by the end of the week on Friday.

There is still some uncertainty in the track of the storm system, so we will keep an eye over the next few days on where the system trends in the data, but it does look like in any event. It will be an active weather forecast, heading into the Thanksgiving holiday.
