Thanksgiving has arrived, and so have winter weather conditions!
Besides chilly weather and a bit of wind, conditions will be mostly dry across Metro Detroit through Wednesday night and into Thursday morning, according to the National Weather Service.
Most will see dry condition through Thanksgiving. Across far southeast Michigan, mainly south of I-94, there remains a small chance (20-30%) for light rain-snow late tonight. Colder for the end of the week with periodic lake effect snow showers. #miwx pic.twitter.com/Ui7YzTGYYf

For some areas in Southeast Michigan, mainly south of I-94, there’s a 20-30% chance of light rain-snow late Wednesday night.
Residents in Lenawee and Monroe counties have the best chance of picking up half an inch or so of snow, with the possibility for rain mixed in.
At this point, it doesn’t look like enough snow to cause major traffic issues, but snow can always cause slippery conditions, no matter how much there is, so it’s always best to be aware of the conditions.
Until about 9 a.m. on Thanksgiving Day, there is a chance for a few flurries, but nothing that will stop you from making it to the 2024 America’s Thanksgiving Parade presented by Gardner White.
At the beginning of the parade, temps will be in the low to mid-30s, with temps in the upper 30s by the end of it.
Even though it will be cold, the good news is that wind chills will be around 5-10 mph.
Lake-effect snow showers will develop Thursday night and into Friday morning and possibly start banding around I-94.
A few heavier squalls are possible, which could cause slippery roads and low visibility.
Keep up with the 4Warn weather team as they keep a close eye on several chances for snow showers and cold temps from Friday through early next week.
