A few flurries and cold temperatures for Sunday; another chance of snow moves into Metro Detroit by mid-week

Even colder temperatures arrive by the time we get to the end of next week

A few flurries or an isolated snow shower will stick around for the end of the weekend on Sunday (WDIV)

Snow showers and cold temperatures have been the order of business for most of the holiday weekend and we will keep them into the forecast for some of us looking ahead into the end of the weekend on Sunday.

A chance for a few snow flurries will continue into the end of the weekend on Sunday, under a mostly cloudy sky. High temperatures not getting much warmer, remaining into the 30s looking ahead into the afternoon. Once you factor in the breezy winds continuing, wind chills will remain in the teens and 20s for much of the day.

Dry weather move back into the forecast, looking ahead into the start of next week, before all eyes are on yet another system moving in by the middle of the week on Wednesday. This looks to be a clipper system, diving from the northwest down to the south east moving in late Tuesday night and sticking around for the majority of the day on Wednesday.

With colder air firmly in place, with high temperatures into the low of mid 30s and overnight lows into the 20s, this does look like it would be primarily snow. Some data is indicating that we may have a brief wintry mix or rain snow mix, but as of right now we are keeping this system primarily snow.

That system moves off to the east by the time we get a late Wednesday night, and we will keep a mostly cloudy sky into the forecast on Thursday. The grip with cold temperatures will continue, high temperatures remaining into the 30s looking ahead into next Thursday.

The winds will also become gusty once again with this system moving through late Wednesday and into Thursday. A Wind Advisory may be needed depending on how strong wind gusts will be, we will keep an eye on this over the next few days.

Temperatures get even colder by the end of next week with another surge of arctic air moving into the region. High temperatures dropping into the upper 20s by the time we get to next Friday.

Another clipper-type system looks to move into the region for the start of next weekend, so a chance of snow is back in the forecast once again. High temperatures remaining in the 20s looking ahead to the start of the weekend on Saturday.
