Winter weather advisories have been issued for several counties in Michigan as snow is making its way across the state.
List of winter weather advisories
The National Weather Service in Grand Rapids is forecasting 3 to 5 inches of snow Thursday evening into Friday.
A winter weather advisory is in effect until 10 a.m. on Friday for the following counties:
- Clare
- Isabella
- Lake
- Mason
- Mecosta
- Muskegon
- Newaygo
- Oceana
- Osceola
While most of Metro Detroit is only expected to get 1 to 2 inches of snow, the National Weather Service Detroit issued winter weather advisories for the following counties from 7 p.m. Thursday through 5 p.m. on Friday as accumulations of 3 to 5 inches are possible:
- Bay
- Midland

National Weather Service Gaylord said 2 to 4 inches is possible in most areas, with up to 4 to 7 expected across the lower northeast part of the state, and localized amounts above 8 inches possible.
A winter weather advisory is in effect for the following counties from 9 p.m. Thursday through 1 p.m. on Friday:
- Arenac
- Gladwin
- Iosco
- Presque Isle

The National Weather Service Marquette issued winter weather advisories for the following counties until early Friday morning:
- Delta
- Dickinson
- Gogebic
- Iron
- Keweenaw
- Menominee
- Northern Houghton
- Ontonagon
- Schoolcraft
