4Warn Weather – A cold, snowy start kicked off 2025 with showers continuing to dot the landscape here in Metro Detroit.

A few moderate snow squalls have put down a coating of snow and made untreated roads slippery.

Overnight snow showers will decrease in coverage as temps drop to the mid-20s.

Thursday

A chilly Thursday with highs around 31, but wind chills remain in the teens through much of the day. It will be breezy again, with gusts over 25mph at times.

Friday

Friday, the cold air starts to settle in even more as highs don’t even crack 30 degrees.

An arctic air mass brings us a blustery, cold weekend with lows in the teens and highs about 5 degrees below normal.

Weekend forecast

A winter storm makes its way to the Midwest by Sunday into Monday.

At this point, it looks like the heaviest snow will remain south of us.

However, this will need to be closely watched over the next several days.

The good news is that it will not affect tailgating on Sunday! Go, Detroit Lions!
