4Warn Weather – It’s time for your thickest pair of gloves. Snow showers are combining with blustery conditions across southeast Michigan.
Snow showers will taper off in Metro Detroit on Monday evening, but some untreated may be slick.
By Monday night, clouds will decrease as temperatures tumble into the teens. Lows will be about 18 degrees in Detroit and around 15 degrees in the suburbs. Northwesterly winds will be 5 to 15 mph, leading to wind chills in the single digits.
Tuesday
The wind chills will be in the single digits on Tuesday morning before rising into the teens in the afternoon. Skies will be partly cloudy to mostly cloudy, with highs in the mid-20s. Winds will be out of the northwest at 5 to 15 mph.
Tuesday night will be mostly cloudy and cold. Lows will be around 15 degrees.
Wednesday
Wednesday will be mostly cloudy with lake-effect snow showers. Highs will be in the mid-20s, and lows will fall into the single digits. Nighttime wind chills as low as 10 below zero.
Thursday
Thursday will be frigid. Wind chills will be -5 to -10 degrees for the morning commute. In the afternoon, highs will be in the lower to mid-20s under partly cloudy skies. Lows will be in the lower teens.
Friday
Friday will be mostly cloudy, with the chance of snow in the evening. Highs will be in the mid-20s. Lows will be in the upper teens to 20 degrees.
Saturday
Snow showers will continue into Saturday morning. Otherwise, expect mostly cloudy skies. Highs will be around 30 degrees, which is near the average high of 32 degrees.
