4Warn Weather – After most of the region saw a few snowflakes working throughout our Tuesday, we will keep a few flakes into the forecast over the next day or so, before better chances for snow moving in by the time we get to the end of the week.
Here’s a look at what to expect:
TUESDAY NIGHT: Mostly cloudy early, decreasing clouds overnight. A few flurries are possible. Low: 16.
WEDNESDAY: Mostly cloudy early, some afternoon sunshine is possible. A few snowflakes also possible. Continued cold. High: 23.
WEDNESDAY NIGHT: Partly cloudy skies. Bitterly cold. Low: 9. Winds chill values below zero expected for most everyone.
THURSDAY: Partly cloudy skies, continued cold. High: 25.
We will start to break up the cloud cover a little as we work into the overnight hours tonight, a few flurries are also possible into the overnight. Overnight loads, dropping into the middle teens, with windshields into the teens and single digits as we look ahead into Wednesday morning.
We will keep the clouds into the forecast for most of the day on Wednesday before we break into a little late day sunshine, but also a few snowflakes are possible thanks to the northwesterly flow continuing. High temperatures remaining well below average, and into the lower 20s by the time we get to Wednesday afternoon.
With some breaks in the clouds overnight Wednesday night into early on Thursday morning, we are expecting air temperatures overnight to drop into the single digits, which will take our wind chill values below zero for most everybody heading out the door on Thursday morning. We will also see some sunshine as we work throughout the day on Thursday, high temperatures remaining into the middle 20s by Thursday afternoon.
Our next chance of snow moves into the region, Friday afternoon and evening, and sticks around into the upcoming weekend. We will watch an area of low pressure run south of the region, but moisture will work far enough north that we will see some light snow Friday afternoon into Friday evening. High temperatures remaining in the middle 20s by Friday afternoon.
Once that low pressure center works off to the east, we will see another round of lake affect snow showers to start the weekend on Saturday. Temperature is getting a few degrees warmer, heading for the upper 20s and lower 30s by Saturday afternoon.
Then, we do it all again with another system rolling in late Sunday night into early next week on Monday. Another round of snow is expected Sunday afternoon into Sunday evening, transitioning to snow showers into early next week on Monday. High temperatures remaining in the lower 30s both days.
We will keep a chance of snow showers into the forecast looking ahead into next Tuesday as the northwesterly flow is expected to continue. High temperature is dropping back into the upper 20s by Tuesday afternoon.
