Snow showers, breezy winds start the weekend in Metro Detroit

Drier weather along with a brief warm-up move into the region to start next week

A few snow showers are expected across the region to start the weekend on Saturday (WDIV)

4Warn Weather – After some scattered snow showers to end the week, we will keep the chance of some scattered snow showers into the forecast, looking ahead into the start of the weekend.

A cold front will move through the region as we work throughout our Saturday, this will keep the chance of snow showers into the forecast, along with breezy winds throughout the day. High temperature is heading for the lower 30s, with winds gusting as high as 25 mph throughout the day.

We will keep the chance of snow showers into the forecast through part of the overnight hours tonight as that cold front moves off to the east. Overnight Lowe’s dropping into the lower 20s, and some upper teens will be possible outside of the metro.

Looking ahead into the end of the weekend on Sunday, we will keep the cloud cover around, but the snow looks to end by the time we get to Sunday. High temperatures will be colder as we work throughout our Sunday. Expect high temperatures into the upper 20s by Sunday afternoon.

We will see some sunshine, move into the forecast, looking ahead into the start of next week on Monday, but it will be short-lived. Partly cloudy skies can be expected, and it will be breezy to start next week as well. High temperature is heading for the middle 30s by Monday afternoon.

Another chance of snow showers works into the forecast, looking ahead into Tuesday with a upper level disturbance working north of the region. High temperatures remaining into the middle 30s by Tuesday afternoon.

Cloud cover sticks around by the time we get to Wednesday, before we break up that cloud cover and bring in some much-needed sunshine as we look ahead into the second half of next week. That sunshine, though, will come with a return to colder temperatures. High temperatures right around the freezing mark by Wednesday afternoon will drop into the middle 20s by the time we get to Thursday and into the end of next week on Friday.
