Wind advisory extended for Metro Detroit as gusts up to 40 mph are expected

Wind advisory through 11 p.m.; scattered snow showers expected in Southeast Michigan

On Tuesday, we’ll see scattered snow showers mainly north of I-69, otherwise, it will be mostly cloudy with a high close to normal in the low 30s. It will still be breezy, but not as windy for the rest of the week. (WDIV)

4Warn Weather – Whipping winds put an added chill in the air for Metro Detroit.

Monday

Winds on Monday evening will gust over 40mph at times, prompting the National Weather Service to extend the Wind Advisory until 11 p.m.

A few scattered snow showers are expected Monday night along with a low of 23 and wind chills in the teens.

Tuesday

On Tuesday, we’ll see scattered snow showers mainly north of I-69, otherwise, it will be mostly cloudy with a high close to normal in the low 30s.

Rest of week

It will still be breezy, but not as windy for the rest of the week.

Temperatures remain at or slightly above normal this week. The coldest morning will be Thursday with wind chills at zero.
