We are tracking “winds of change.” Coming off an arctic blast last week, we will spend most of this week with highs inching slightly above average.
A Wind Advisory goes into effect from 10 a.m. to 8 p.m. today. Southwest winds of 20 to 30 mph with gusts up to 45 to 50 mph are expected. Highs will bein the mid to upper 30s, but feeling 10-15 degrees cooler with the wind chill.
A cold front will drop through the area this evening with a chance of light snow following it tonight. Accumulations are expected to stay under a half inch for most areas. There will be another chance of snow Tuesday evening/overnight into Wednesday, mainly to our north. Accumulation of 1 to 3 inches will be possible north of M-59.
Otherwise, we hold into a slight chance for additional snow showers with minor accumulation Wednesday. Slightly warmer conditions are on tap this week with daytime highs just above average in the mid to upper 30s. Long-range data is hinting at a wintry mix possible Friday night into early Saturday in our southern communities.
