Rain and snow in the mix for Metro Detroit this week. Here’s what to expect

Thursday highs in lower 40s; Friday highs in upper 30s

Wednesday

After a mild day Wednesday, colder air is finally settling into Metro Detroit.

Overnight temperatures will be in the low 20s, but wind chills will be in the single digits.

Thursday

A cold start to Thursday then sunshine helps warm temperatures to around 41 degrees. Late Thursday rain moves in and continues through the morning commute Friday.

Friday

In the afternoon on Friday, temperatures will start to drop and rain changes over to light snow.

Weekend forecast

Saturday will be very cold with a high of 30 and wind chills in the single digits and low teens.
