Windy Wednesday in Metro Detroit with some minor snow on the way

Starting off with incredibly mild temperatures for late January, but temperatures will continue to slide through sunrise before rebounding this afternoon to near average highs.

Some lake effect snow bands will push from north to south this morning. Accumulations will remain minor, but brief very low visibilities will be possible. High pressure will end that in the afternoon as dry conditions build in. We rise back into the mid-30s this afternoon before winds taper off briefly this evening.

Thursday

Warmer conditions arrive on Thursday as highs flirt with 40. However, a chance of rain rolls in Thursday night. Highs will be around 40.

Friday

The rain will possibly mix with snow come Friday morning as temperatures slide below freezing. We will be fine-tuning this part of the forecast. As of right now, minor accumulations are possible but this could change if it becomes more of a wet snow event.

This weekend

Partly sunny and much cooler on Saturday as highs dip into the 20s. We then rise back to around 40 on Sunday.
