4Warn Weather – A wintry mix will make for a slippery morning commute.

A Winter Weather Advisory went into effect at 10 p.m. Wednesday for Washtenaw, Wayne, Lenawee, and Monroe counties, then at midnight for the rest of Southeast Lower Michigan, including Livingston, Oakland, and Macomb counties. It goes through Thursday morning.

A wintry mix of freezing rain, sleet, and snow will move from the south to the north around midnight Wednesday night.

Freezing rain will fall between 12 a.m. and 7 a.m., with a light accumulation possible.

This will make the morning commute icy, and there may be slowdowns. After 7 a.m., the wintry mix will end, and highs will reach the upper 30s.

We’re dry for Friday, and then another system will affect the area over the weekend.
