It’s been another nice day across the region, lots of sunshine and a little cloud cover around, and we will keep the dry weather into the forecast into the overnight hours tonight and also looking ahead into Thursday.
Partly cloudy skies can be expected overnight tonight, and it will be another chilly night, but not as cold as we’ve been the past few nights. Overnight lows dropping into the upper 20s and lower 30s.
The Sunshine sticks around for Thursday, and we continue the warming trend and the temperature department. High temperature is starting to warm up into the mid 50s by the time we get to Thursday afternoon.
Our next system moves into the region for the end of the week and the upcoming weekend, and also into early next week. We will watch two different areas of low pressure move through the region. By the time we get to early next week on Monday.
A warm front will lift north into the region for the start of the weekend on Saturday, that will keep chances for rain into the forecast Saturday, before more widespread rain and even a few thunderstorms moves into the region Sunday afternoon and into Sunday evening. We will keep an eye on the potential for severe weather through the end of the weekend, as of tonight, the risk area looks to be just south of Metro Detroit into Northern Indiana, and Northern Ohio.
Expect the rain to continue into the start of the week on Monday, and as our second low pressure system moves right over southern Michigan, expect gusty winds to start the week and rain showers changing over to snow showers Monday evening. That system pulls off to the east and we will dry things out by the time we get to Tuesday.
Temperatures will remain warmer, heading into the 60s by the end of the weekend into the weekend, before we cool things down into the 40s to start next week. Then we warm up a little bit with high temperatures back into the 50s by the time we get to the middle of next week on Wednesday.
