4Warn Weather – A rain and snow mix will impact Southeast Michigan Wednesday night and Thursday morning, including a minor accumulation in a few spots.
Widespread light rain will travel east into Metro Detroit Wednesday evening. Transitions to rain and snow showers will begin mainly after 10 p.m. as temperatures fall into the lower to mid-30s in most locations.
Snow accumulation will be a concern primarily north of Detroit, where temperatures will be colder.
Up to an inch of snow will be possible north of I-696. Snow accumulation will begin first on grassy surfaces and parked vehicles.
As temperatures drop at night, the snow will start to stick on bridges and elsewhere. Drive for the possibility of slick roads.

Overnight lows will be in the mid-30s south of M-59, including Birmingham, Warren, Westland, Southgate, Detroit, and Monroe.
Lows will fall to the lower 30s north of M-59, including in Shelby Township, Oxford, and Fenton.
Thursday
Rain and snow showers will continue in Southeast Michigan through Thursday morning, especially in the northern suburbs and Thumb.
There could be a few slick spots during the morning commute. Showers will taper off in the afternoon and leave behind cloudy skies.
A couple of evening sprinkles will be possible. Afternoon temperatures rise to the lower to mid-40s. Winds will be out of the east at 5 to 10 mph.

Skies will be mostly cloudy on Thursday night. The low will be in the mid-30s near Detroit, Downriver, and Monroe. Lows will be in the lower 30s in Ann Arbor, Howell, Milford, and New Baltimore.
Friday
Friday will bring a mixture of sunshine and clouds, with milder temperatures. Expect highs in the upper 40s to 50 degrees. Lows will be in the lower to mid-30s, under primarily clear skies.
A high-pressure system will dominate the weather this weekend. That means mostly pleasant and warmer weather.
Saturday
Saturday will be mostly sunny, with highs in the mid-50s. It will be mostly clear at night, with lows in the mid-30s.
Sunday
Sunday will bring partly to mostly cloudy skies and temperatures around 60 degrees. It will be mostly cloudy at night, with lows in the mid-40s.
Monday
Monday brings the chance of 70-degree temperatures. If the thermometer reaches 70 degrees at Metro Airport, it would be the first time since March 19. Thus far, April has been cooler than March in Metro Detroit.
A slight chance of rain will be possible midday Monday and during the evening. Otherwise, it will be mostly cloudy. Lows will be in the mid to upper 40s.
Tuesday & Wednesday
Expect a cooldown for Tuesday and Wednesday, with highs in the 50s to near 60 degrees.
