Warm, wet, windy in Metro Detroit with cooler conditions ahead

Cooler conditions build in this weekend

4Warn Weather – Widely scattered to numerous showers move in this morning with some embedded non-severe thunderstorms, so you may hear a rumble of thunder or two.

Rounds of rain will continue across the area throughout the day, so have an umbrella on hand. A marginal risk for strong to severe storms this afternoon and evening, especially south of I-94.

We will reach the low 70s today in the wake of the passing warm front, but a trailing cold front will bring cooler conditions the next couple of days. As the cold front passes later today, winds will gust between 20-25 mph this afternoon and evening.

Additional light rain showers will carry into Friday, otherwise cloudy and slightly cooler with highs in the 60s.
