Metro Detroit’s cool weekend will soon be both cool and wet.
Saturday night’s skies will be mostly cloudy as temperatures dip into the lower-40s in Adrian, Ann Arbor, Canton, Taylor, Detroit, Monroe, Warren, and surrounding communities. Expect lows in the mid- to upper-30s in Grand Blanc, Metamora, Armada, and Marlette. Winds will be out of the north-northeast around 10 mph with gusts up to 20 mph.
Sunday
Sunday will be mostly cloudy, cool and breezy. Highs will be in the lower- to mid-50s, which is more than 10 degrees below normal. Winds will be out of the north-northeast around 15 mph with gusts up to 30 mph.
Rain showers will move northward into Southeast Michigan. Blissfield, Lambertville and Monroe will be among the first communities to see rain showers on Sunday morning. Rain showers will start to push north of I-94 by late morning and around noon.
‘Don’t Rain on My Parade’
Noon is the start time of the 60th Annual Cinco de Mayo Parade in Southwest Detroit. Be prepared with a rain jacket, poncho or umbrella.
Sunday night will be rainy, with lows in the upper-40s to 50 degrees. Sunday’s rain totals could exceed one inch.
Monday
Monday, which is Cinco de Mayo, will be mostly cloudy with rain showers. The better chance of rain will be in the afternoon and evening. Highs will be in the mid-60s. Lows will be around 50 degrees.
Tuesday
Tuesday will also be rainy, with temperatures peaking in the mid-60s. Lows will be in the upper lower-50s.
Wednesday
Wednesday will be mostly cloudy, but a stray shower will be possible. Highs will return to the lower-70s. Lows will be in the upper-40s.
Looking Ahead
Skies will be partly cloudy to mostly sunny to end the week. Highs will be in the lower-60s on Thursday, upper-60s to 70 degrees on Friday, and lower- to mid-70s on Saturday.
Average highs during this period are in the mid- to upper-60s. The average lows are in the mid- to upper-40s, respectively.
