After some rain showers, and a little bit of sunshine to start the week on Monday, most of the region is waking up to rain showers this morning, and we will keep those rain showers into the forecast through the day on Tuesday.

Expect chances for rain showers to continue into Tuesday as well. This is all thanks to an Omega block in the upper levels of the atmosphere. This will keep an upper-level area of low pressure controlling our forecast over the next few days. Temperatures will warm up a few degrees into the low to mid 60s by Tuesday afternoon.

Rain chances will decrease as we work into the evening hours, and then we will start to break-up the cloud cover a bit into the overnight hours. Temperatures dropping into the upper 40s and lower 50s looking ahead into Wednesday Morning.

It looks like the blocking pattern will ease up a little bit, looking ahead into the middle and end of next week. This will bring an end to the rain showers by the time we get to Wednesday, and will increase the sunshine. High temperatures warming up into the lower 70s looking ahead into the middle of next week.

Expect some Sunshine to continue for Thursday and into the end of next week on Friday. Temperatures are cooling down a few degrees into the 60s by Thursday, before warming back up into the lower 70s by the end of next week on Friday.

We will keep the drier weather into the forecast for the start of next weekend on Saturday. Expect mostly sunny skies, high temperatures getting even warmer, heading into the middle 70s by Saturday afternoon. The dry weather also continues into the end of the weekend on Sunday, high temperatures remaining into the middle 70s as well.

Mother’s Day on Sunday looks to be fantastic, and the dry weather will continue into the start of next week as well. Expect more sunshine and high temperatures warming up into the upper 70s by Monday afternoon.

Looking beyond the 7-day forecast, the Climate Prediction Center’s 6-10 day temperature outlook keeps the above average temperatures into the forecast, so it looks like these 70s may continue into a good part of next week as well.
