Sunny skies after frosty start in Metro Detroit; Here’s a look at the forecast for Mother’s Day

High pressure brings sunshine through the weekend

DETROIT – After a frosty start to this Friday, we will be warming up to more seasonal conditions this afternoon and hold on to sunshine thanks to high pressure. This will likely be the last frost threat of the season. Sunny skies and upper 60s are on tap to round out the work week.

Saturday

An isolated shower is possible on Saturday, but not likely. In fact, sunshine and warmer temperatures into the 70s prevail through much of the weekend. Highs on Saturday are forecasted into the mid-70s.

Sunday

A pleasant Mother’s Day is on tap with sunshine and highs close to 70.

Next week

A more notable warm-up into early next week with highs on either side of 80 through much of the week. Our next best chance of rain arrives later Tuesday with off and on chances through midweek.
