After a fantastic weekend with lots of sunshine, lower humidity and seasonable temperatures for Sunday, we will keep the dry weather in for most of the day on Monday before our weather pattern becomes active for the rest of the work week.
We will bring a little more cloud cover into the forecast looking ahead into the start of next week on Monday. Expect sunshine to start the day, then more clouds to move in late morning and into the afternoon. High temperatures rebounding, and getting warmer again. Temperatures heading into the lower 80s by Monday afternoon.
The active weather pattern returns to the forecast looking ahead into the middle and end of next week. Expect plenty of cloud cover with chance for rain showers Tuesday and Wednesday. High temperature is remaining into the mid upper 70s both days. A few thunderstorms are possible looking ahead into the middle of the week on Wednesday as well.
Then, I do think we get a little bit of sunshine into the forecast, looking ahead into the end of the week, but we do keep the chance for rain showers into the forecast on Thursday. High temperatures heading into the lower 80s by Thursday afternoon, then a chance of thunderstorms rolls into the forecast for Thursday before we keep a chance of rain showers into the forecast for the end of the week on Friday.. And temperatures getting even warmer again, we’ll head into the middle 80s by the time we get to Friday afternoon.
We are keeping an eye on the potential for severe weather west of Metro Detroit on Thursday. The Storm Prediction Center has outlined an area from Western Michigan into Wisconsin, most of Indiana, Illinois into Eastern Iowa and Eastern Missouri under a 15% chance of severe weather, which would be a Slight Risk (2 out of 5) on our severe weather scale. As this low pressure system moves East, we will watch this to see if this threat moves into our region.
We will keep some sunshine into the forecast for the start of next weekend, but also the chance for a few rain showers as well. High temperatures dropping into the middle 70s for next Saturday.
Drier weather looks to move into the region by the second half of the weekend on Sunday. Expect partly cloudy skies, and cooler temperatures. High temperatures heading into the upper 60s to near 70° by Sunday afternoon.
