Here’s when to expect shower, thunderstorm chances in Metro Detroit

Seasonably warm today as shower and thunderstorm chances continue through the remainder of the week

DETROIT – Keep that umbrella with you the next few days. Some folks are waking up to scattered light showers that have lifted into southeast Michigan as we are on the northern end of a weak low pressure to our south. This will not be a widespread washout, but we have now entered a more active pattern of off and on showers throughout the rest of the week.

Highs today and tomorrow will be a bit more seasonal in the low to mid-70s. Above average temperatures return to round out the work week with highs back into the 80s on Thursday and Friday.

Scattered showers and occasional thunderstorm chances persist today and return Wednesday afternoon. Thursday is shaping up to be partly sunny, warmer and breezy but relatively dry. There is the potential for strong to severe thunderstorms before daybreak on Friday with rain chances lingering in the morning before drying out in the afternoon. We drop back into the 70s this weekend.
