4Warn Weather – We’re tracking possible severe weather Thursday night into early Friday morning in Southeast Michigan. Here’s what to expect.
Shower/Storms Later Tonight
- Still on track for a pretty solid chance of strong to severe storms to move in later tonight.
- Timing isn’t much different, but we’re thinking midnight to 3am is the window for these to move through. Perhaps arrival a touch earlier.
- Severe weather is possible, with strong damaging winds being our biggest concern. Flooding, hail and tornadoes are also possible, but these threats are lower.
- With this threat, we have declared a 4Warn Weather Alert for later tonight.
More Showers Friday Night/Saturday Morning
- Another round of showers is looking likely Friday night into Saturday morning.
- Data here is a little more inconsistent in terms of timing and intensity, as some models hint at a few storms looking possible. However no severe weather is anticipated.
Warm Now, Cooler Next Week
- We’re in the 80s both today and Friday, but then cool into the 60s for highs next week.
- So we go from well above normal, to below normal in just a few days time.
