The storms are expected in Metro Detroit at around 9 to 10 p.m. and are expected to be gone by 2 a.m.
Biggest threats
Damaging winds are the biggest concern with Friday night’s storm. Hail, flooding and an isolated tornado are on the table, but these threats are lower.
Weekend forecast
Friday night’s storms are triggered by a cold front, which will also bring temperatures in the 60s throughout the weekend and into next week.

More rain is expected to our south for the middle and end of next week, bringing the chance for rain in Metro Detroit. The best chance for rain next week is on Wednesday.
