Some sunshine returns to Metro Detroit for the end of the weekend

Rainfall returns to the forecast

Sunshine and cloud cover will stick around looking ahead into the end of the weekend (WDIV)

4Warn Weather – After a little bit of sunshine, plenty of cloud cover and a few rain showers to start the weekend, we will keep the clouds into the forecast looking ahead into the end of the weekend.

With our area of low pressure well off to the east of the region for Sunday, we will have enough moisture to keep the cloud cover into the forecast for the end of the weekend on Sunday. Those clouds will also help keep temperatures down throughout the day as well. Expect high temperatures to head into the lower 60s by Sunday afternoon.

The dry weather sticks around into the first part of next week for Monday and Tuesday. We will keep a filtered sunshine into the forecast for Monday, then increase the cloud cover on Tuesday. Expect mostly cloudy skies for much of the day on Tuesday, then the rain moves in by late Tuesday afternoon and into Tuesday evening. High temperatures heading into the lower 60s by Tuesday afternoon.

Rain is back into the forecast for the second half of next week, with rain likely on Wednesday giving way to chances for rain showers Thursday and into the end of next week on Friday. High temperature still remaining about 5 to 10° below average, will only head into the low 60s Tuesday and Wednesday, and into the middle 60s by the end of next week on Friday.

We will keep the chance of rain showers into the forecast looking ahead into the start of the Memorial Day weekend for next Saturday. High temperatures warming up a bit, heading into the mid to upper 60s for the start of the weekend on Saturday.
