Dry stretch coming to an end in Metro Detroit -- Here’s what to expect

Tuesday highs in lower 70s; Wednesday highs in upper 60s

4Warn Weather – This Memorial Day has brought ideal weather to Metro Detroit.

People enjoyed sunshine and comfortable temperatures near 70 degrees on Monday afternoon.

The night will remain pleasant as clouds increase. The majority of Southeast Michigan will see temps fall into the 50s by midnight. Under partly cloudy to mostly cloudy skies, lows will be in the mid-50s in the Thumb.

Expect temps to fall to the upper-40s in Fowlerville, Holly, and Armada, and lower-50s in Monroe, Lincoln Park, Oak Park, and Eastpointe.

Tuesday

Tuesday will bring another day of 70-degree weather. While the temps will be similar, expect more clouds.

Winds will be out of the east and east-northeast at 5 to 15 mph. Gusts will reach 20 mph.

Tuesday night will be mostly cloudy, with lows in the mid-50s. Then, the dry stretch comes to an end.

Wednesday

Expect rain showers to start arriving before the Wednesday morning drive. Highs will be in the lower to mid-60s. Lows will be in the lower 50s.

Thursday and Friday

Both Thursday and Friday will have rain chances. While Thursday will see peak temperatures in the mid- to upper 60s, Friday will see temperatures in the mid-70s.

Following Friday’s rain chance, next weekend’s weather will be pleasant for the Detroit Grand Prix.
