The mercury won’t rise much today with highs struggling to reach 60. Clouds will win out today and scattered light showers are expected to spread across the area later this afternoon and evening. The rain will be a “hit or miss” variety and then continue into the overnight hours north of I-69.
Spotty showers are possible Thursday, but nothing widespread. We will begin to rebound in temperatures with highs in the upper 60s, close to 70. We will warm in the seasonal mid-70s on Friday but as a cold front sinks across the region there will be a chance for isolated thunderstorms late Friday night.
Overall, the weather looks to cooperate with the Detroit Grand Prix. Coming off a mainly dry Friday (during the daylight hours), rain will push out by daybreak on Saturday morning with sunshine returning for the weekend. Seasonably cool and dry both Saturday and Sunday with highs in the low 70s. A more notable warm-up ensues next week as we flight with 80 on Monday and reach the 80s by Tuesday.
