Monday

While Southeast Michigan will get periods of relief from the Canadian wildfire smoke, air quality will fluctuate over the next several days.

Monday will be warmer and mostly sunny. Temperatures will reach the lower 80s. It looks like the wildfire smoke could begin to thicken before sunset. This would lead to reduced air quality, and a more vibrant and reddish sunset due to smoke particles scattering light.

With few clouds in the sky, lows will be around 60 degrees.

Tuesday

Highs will leap into the mid- to upper-80s on Tuesday. With sunshine, wildfire smoke could lead to hazy skies.

Expect the heat to peak on Tuesday and Wednesday, with similar temperatures on both days.

Wednesday

Rain makes its return to the forecast Wednesday afternoon and evening as another cold front moves in. Showers and some thunderstorms are expected to continue into early Thursday. Another chance of rain arrives Thursday afternoon into Friday morning.
