After a cool, rainy day, our attention now shifts to the extreme heat that will persist for several days.

Friday

Friday brings sunshine, but also the possibility of a couple of late-afternoon showers and storms.

Most of the day will be dry and warmer than normal with highs in the mid 80s.

Saturday

By Saturday, we hit 90 for the first time since last August. And we don’t stop there.

Sunday

Sunday brings highs around 95 degrees, and this heat is expected to continue through at least Wednesday, possibly even Thursday.

The fireworks will be hot and humid with a high around 97 degrees and a heat index of 103.

The urban heat island will create a difficult situation for those in large crowds and outside for several hours.

Start hydrating now to avoid dehydration in these extreme temperatures.
