DETROIT – Hello July! This is more like it... Finally welcoming a less humid and near average stretch of days paired with plenty of sunshine. Get outside and enjoy it, but don’t forget the sunglasses and sunscreen as the UV index will be very high today. Highs will be in the mid-80s under mostly sunny skies.
Tomorrow
Another seasonal day on tap Wednesday with a few more clouds. Highs will be back in the 80s. However, the potential exists for thunderstorms into the Thumb Wednesday afternoon. There is a marginal risk (level 1 out of 5) for severe weather along and north of I-69.
Thursday
Great pool day! We will be a touch warmer with lots of sunshine. Highs will reach the mid to upper 80s.
Holiday Weekend
The parades and fireworks displays will be a go! The Fourth of July is shaping up to be mostly sunny to partly cloudy with highs in the upper 80s. We crank up the heat of Saturday and Sunday as we rise back into the low 90s with increased humidity. There will be a chance for showers and thunderstorms to return late Saturday into early next week.

Last year, our high temperatures was 83 degrees on the Fourth of July. We will be trending about five degrees warmer that that with highs forecasted in the upper 80s.
