Temperatures remain below average today, with highs only reaching the 60s across Metro Detroit. A weak cutoff low moving through the Ohio Valley is helping push moisture westward across the southern part of the forecast area. That will keep mostly cloudy skies in place through at least the morning, with scattered light showers possible mainly south of I-94. Drier air will gradually work back into the region later today.
After this morning’s slight rain chance, dry weather is expected through early next week, setting up an extended stretch of sunshine and quiet conditions.
Temperatures begin to rebound this weekend, with highs reaching either side of 70 degrees. Seasonal temperatures in the 70s will continue into early next week.
