At 500 AM EDT (0900 UTC), the center of Post-Tropical Cyclone Ida was located near latitude 41.4 North, longitude 71.6 West. The post-tropical cyclone is moving toward the northeast near 28 mph (44 km/h), and some increase in the forward motion is expected on Thursday.

Maximum sustained winds are near 40 mph (65 km/h) with higher gusts. Little if any change in strength is forecast during the next 12 hours.

The estimated minimum central pressure is 998 mb (29.47 inches).

Across Coastal Maine: 2 to 4 inches, with locally higher amounts over Downeast Maine through Thursday afternoon.

Across Rhode Island and eastern Massachusetts: An additional 1 to 3 inches through Thursday morning.
