ANN ARBOR, Mich. – It's college football rivalry week in the state as Michigan State will travel to Ann Arbor this weekend for a matchup with Michigan.
The Wolverines are No. 7 in the country after their 4-0 start, while the Spartans are off to a strong start at 3-1.

Local 4Caster Paul Gross took a look at the weather forecast for the night game at Michigan Stadium. Here's the latest update:
"I am developing increasing clarity on the developing weather pattern, and the only unknown right now is the exact timing of the approaching cold front.
The front will cross the area with a 30- to 60-minute band of rain, thunderstorms and gusty winds ahead of it.
As you can see in the series of images below, this model projects the front coming through during the first half.

But that's just one model. The GFS model (not shown), for example, shows the front coming in during the second half. My advice to fans is to bring the rain gear if you’re going to the game.
Temperatures will be in the 70s during the game, so it’ll get steamy under raincoats and ponchos.
Once the front passes by, the showers and storms will end for good. If the front comes through at the earlier RPM timing I showed above, then temperatures might slip into the mid- to upper 60s by the end of the game."
