DETROIT – A severe thunderstorm watch was issued for several southeast Michigan counties including Wayne, Washtenaw, Oakland, Macomb, Livingston, Lenawee and Monroe.
As of 6 p.m., only Monroe and Lenawee are still under the watch.

This watch is in effect through Thursday evening (until at least 8 p.m.) as storms are expected to move through the region. The storms are expected to include large hail with high winds and the possibility for tornadoes, according to the Local 4Casters.

- UPDATE: Watch is only in effect now for Monroe and Lenawee counties.
From Local 4 Meteorologist Paul Gross:
Thunderstorms will redevelop this afternoon, and our severe threat has not changed: large hail, damaging wind gusts, and even a tornado are possible.
The most likely time to see severe storms is between 3 p.m. and 9 p.m. Accordingly, we have declared a Severe Weather Alert for this afternoon due to the widespread severe threat.
