Cedar Point’s newest roller coaster was shut down on Sunday, just a week after debuting at the amusement park.

Top Thrill 2, billed as Cedar Point “boldest and most advanced roller coaster,” is out of service indefinitely after the park said the manufacturer needs to complete a mechanical modification to the ride’s vehicles.

Cedar Point says thorough inspections will take place before approving the modification and reopening of the ride.

A reopening date was not made available.

The Top Thrill 2 features open-air seating, providing stunning views on the world’s first and only dual-tower vertical speedway. Guests are launched in reverse at 101 mph, rising into the sky at a 90-degree angle on the new tower.
