Rain on Friday, some chances this weekend

4Warn Weather – Scattered to numerous showers were spread across Southeast Michigan this Friday morning, especially for those on the eastern edge. Those showers will move eastward and out of here through the morning.

For much of the day, skies will be mostly to partly cloudy. Highs will be in the upper 70s.

Showers and storms may redevelop this afternoon and evening. The best chance for wet weather tonight is between 6 p.m.-8 p.m.

Any storms that do develop will be isolated. Wind gusts around 45-50 mph are possible.

Tonight’s sunset is at 8:50 p.m.

Warm weekend with some rain chances

Most of us will dry out Friday night and through Saturday. Highs will in the upper 70s near 80 degrees on Saturday.

Expect more sunshine on Sunday than on Saturday. Highs Sunday are expected to rise above 80 degrees into the low 80s.

There is a chance for some rain later on Sunday. Wet weather may develop Sunday evening.

Hot start to next week

Highs will be in the upper 80s to start next week.

We’ll have better chances for rain on Tuesday. There will be increased chances for thunderstorms late Tuesday afternoon and evening into Wednesday.

Highs will remain in the 80s for Tuesday, and will lower slightly into the upper 70s on Wednesday.

Nationally, potentially significant heavy rainfall moves into southern Mississippi and western Alabama on Friday. Otherwise, a wet start to the weekend for much of the eastern U.S. as well as the northern Rockies and Plains. Sweltering heat continues across south Florida and southern Texas into this weekend.
