After a few rain showers overnight too early on Saturday morning, some of us are waking up to thunderstorms on the radar, and we will keep the chance of showers and thunderstorms into the forecast to start the weekend

A cold front will move through the region as we work throughout the day on Saturday, this will keep the chance of showers and thunderstorms into the forecast. Some storms could be on the strong, to possibly severe side of things by Saturday afternoon. Damaging winds, large hail, and heavy rainfall will be the primary threats with the strongest thunderstorms, but this will not be a widespread severe weather event. High temperature is warming into the upper 70s to near 80° by Saturday afternoon.

Once the cold front moves through late Saturday, we will keep some cloud cover into the forecast as well as some sunshine for the end of the weekend on Sunday. Cooler temperatures will move in by the end of the weekend as well, and with a northwesterl flow kicking in, we will bring in the chance for a few rain showers Sunday afternoon, and into early Sunday evening. High temperatures only warming into the mid to upper 70s by Sunday afternoon.

High-pressure builds into the region, and dries us out looking ahead into the start of next week. Expect plenty of sunshine for Monday and Tuesday, as some students are heading back to the classroom by the start of next week for the start of the new school year.

Chances for showers and thunderstorms return to the forecast by the time we get to next Wednesday and Thursday, as another cold front rolls through the region. High temperatures warming into the low to mid 80s by the time we get to the middle of next week.
